Strength exercisers designed to provide elastic resistance to muscular contraction for developing muscular strength and endurance. These exercisers consist of a coiled metal spring. Elastic resistance exercisers are usually portable. They can be used in strength exercises such as the chest press, leg press, shoulder raise, torso twist, and squat. Elastic resistance strength exercisers are intended to improve the strength of the muscles in the upper body/torso and the flexibility of the muscles and the joints by stretching the muscles.
